Raymundo Andrade

Ray Andrade is the Librarian for Student Engagement at his alma mater, Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Prior to assuming this position in June 2018, he served as LMU's Programming Librarian (2014-2018) and Cataloging Library Assistant 2003-2014. His library career began at the age of 18 as a Library Aide at many branches of the County of Los Angeles Public Library, including the libraries in Norwalk, Manhattan Beach, East Los Angeles, Lakewood, Huntington Park, and South Gate. He's a first-generation college graduate who's very passionate about serving library users (and converting potential users) from traditionally under-represented communities. In his spare time, he loves to work out, listen to rock music, and go bug hunting with his daughter.
